artist ave: melissa haslam's cherry fields

Tuesday, November 2, 2010

When I first saw australian artist Melissa Haslam's work while browsing through some online galleries, I immediately fell in love. As you might be able to tell, I'm a fan of romantic portraits of waif-like girls and Melissa blends her subjects lovingly with the nature that surrounds them. I love the softness of her lines and her usage of dark and light in each of her paintings. I would love to one day own one of her prints. You can see more of her work at her blog, Cherry Fields.

I love bunnies! My favorite picture is the third. It looks like a dream, doesn't it? :)
