{ indoors+outdoors } dream exterior

Monday, May 30, 2011

This must be the most stunning exterior I've ever seen. Styled and designed by the talented individuals at Marcotte Style, this is the exterior of a luxurious villa in Spain. I love the seamless pool here and all the poolside furniture makes this look like the perfect setting for any house party (not to mention the house is gorgeous). You can see more photos of this villa here or check out their other works like for this apartment in Brussels or this cottage in Luxembourg.

Such a wonderful view!

{ artist ave } lilly piri

I recently discovered talented Australian artist, Lilly Piri and have been mesmerized by her work ever since. She uses color pencils, oils and pen and her illustrations are soft, romantic and have such a childlike innocence to them. Here are some of my favorites from her pastel-powdered portfolio, which you can check out here for more of her stunning imagery.

{ etsy treasury } peppermint green

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

I've always had a soft spot for peppermint - be it for the gentle, soothing minty color that can add a spark of charm to any wall or room, or for the fresh peppermint taste in anything mint-flavored. I've recently been inspired by many minty delights on Etsy and I just had to share them with you all. As someone who's number one weakness is peppermint chocolate chip ice cream, these goodies easily made me swoon.

It's wonderful how so many things can come in minty green, my favorites such as pistachio macarons, green tea, bath sea salts or any one of the wonderful items below! If you're not already a mint lover, I'm quite sure you'll be swayed after these <3

{ fav photographers } ann he

Saturday, May 21, 2011

Another talented young one, 16 year old photographer Ann He captures natural light and fresh-faced darlings so beautifully. Her work is stunning and each photo tells a visual story, like in this series of hers entitled Runaways (something I'm particularly fond of). She evokes the beauty of youth and innocence with a subtle touch of a romantic, styled here by Brittany Winter with makeup and hair by Shane Monden. I can't wait to see more of her fine work.

{ bridal eyecandy } jenny packham bridal lookbook

Saturday, May 14, 2011

Oh, how I fell in love with these amazingly gorgeous wedding dresses from Jenny Packham's 2011 collection. Such delicate, feminine gowns that would surely make any girl a princess on her special day. Just looking at them makes me want to get married all over again. I love how her dresses are all long, sleek and elegant, instead of the traditional meringue. With a touch of Greek goddess and soft chiffon, I can't begin to decide which is my favorite dress, perhaps you could tell me yours?

{ weekend escapades } french country house

Friday, May 13, 2011

My husband and I spent a wonderful weekend visiting his aunt in Saint Florentin and since it was my first time there, I was taken immediately by how lovely her country house was. Her rooms were painted in warm, yellow and earth tones decorated with fresh flowers, antiques and cherished trinkets. I couldn't resist sharing photos of her house with you, since it's inspired me to make some little additions to our own apartment here in Paris.

{ label love } ruche

Sunday, May 8, 2011

I fell head over heels in love with this lookbook from independent Californian e-boutique, Ruche entitled "A Spring Daydream". An online shop dedicating itself to vintage-inspired clothing, their spring 2011 lookbook is truly one of the most beautiful and artistic ones I've ever seen. An inspiring little online shop with a strong following, their clothes all offer a vintage flair for an affordable price. These photos shot by the talented Stephanie Williams with set design by Jessica Haack and Sovy Designs will definitely put you in a dreamy, romantic mood.
