I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Adele. I think that she not only has a beautiful voice, but a beautiful heart as well. I remember her first song that I heard, Hometown Glory and how it made me homesick every time. Here's another song of hers that is a bit old, but still one that I really enjoy. Toned-down and stripped, we can appreciate her vocals and her song writting in its fullest.
You can feel the heartfelt emotion in this song that transcends distance and relationship, it could be for a lover or a dear friend. Accompanied with minimal piano notes, this song is a perfect night lullaby. Heart-breaking yet hopeful, it's rare these days to find a song so raw and pure.

When the evening shadows
And the stars appear
And there is no one there
To dry your tears
I could hold you
For a million years
To make you feel my love
And the stars appear
And there is no one there
To dry your tears
I could hold you
For a million years
To make you feel my love
