a tree like no other

Monday, December 13, 2010

A couple of weeks ago, I had my 3rd year anniversary of my first date with my husband. We decided to do something special this time around so we stayed at a hotel in the center of Paris, right next to the Galeries Lafayette. I'm still editing through all the photos of their Christmas window displays (this year's theme is Broadway muscials!) and I can't wait to share them with you soon. Meanwhile, here's some photos of the giant, floating Christmas tree that awaits shoppers inside. It's 20 meters high, holds more than 500 ornaments and sits right in the middle of the department store.

It looks magical- I think if I could haul my whole family anywhere this Christmas it would be to Paris.

And what a sweet idea- celebrating the anniversary of your first date, rather than your wedding date. Your first date is much more sentimental when you think about it.

My BF and I have been together 3 years and 5 months! For our anniversary this year, I think we kept it really simple. But, we have a long distance relationship so, when I see him, it's never for very long. I was just happy that he was there!

That christmas tree was so picturesque. Dreamy!
